Enhancement and internationalisation of the KOP competences and introduction of the new CI

Since April of 2010 we have realigned ourselves. From 15.05.2010 on KOP will meet the new challenges of the market strengthened with its new business divisions, many years of experience, successful projects and updated Corporate Identity.

Trade delegation to India with Prime Minister Oettinger from 11th until 15th of November 2009
In November 2009 Mr. Steffen Klingler was part of the trade delegation of Prime Minister Günther Oettinger visiting the booming cities of New Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai in India. Besides the political scope the business deligation focused on establishing new economic relations to the indian market. The visit also gave opportunity to intensify our business relations to our clients when visiting the new overseas branch of Bosch Ltd. In Bengaluru.

Expansion of the pilot auditor qualifications in the field of new industrial buildings
After establishing the certification for „New Construction of Office and Administration buildings“ KOP together with the DGNB developed the criteria for newly built industrial facilities. In this process KOP submitted documents for certification of a high rack warehouse in Hagenow. For the first time, from 5th to 7th October of 2009 on the trade fair Expo Real in Munich, industrial buildings were awarded by the DGNB. More than 30 outstanding buildings were awarded with the quality certification, one of them the high rack warehouse in Hagenow.

‘Baden-Württemberg-Days’ in Moscow with Prime Minister Oettinger from 25th until 28th of May 2009
With a record-breaking delegation of 230 participants, among them many corporate representatives of the south-western region of Germany, Prime Minister Oettinger of Baden-Württemberg visited Moscow. Objective of this four-day trip was to strengthen the economic relations between Baden-Württemberg and Russia.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by representatives in the field of politics, economy and science.
Numerous entrepreneurs of Baden-Württemberg formed the business delegation – one of them KOP managing director Steffen Klingler.
The Agenda in Moscow included discussions with government officials, as well as an economic forum and a presentation of Baden-Württemberg as a location of tourism.
Highlights of the journey were the inauguration of the “German Centres”, a concert with young musicians of Baden-Württemberg and Russia performing together in the new opera of Moscow, as well as the grand opening of the art exhibition of the duchess of Württemberg by Mr. Oettinger and his fiancé.

Change of the corporate nameDevelopment KOP GmbH
Since February 2009 the entry of the commercial register has changed. The KOP Planergesellschaft mbH now operates under the new label of KOP GmbH to accommodate the recent development towards a consulting and energy oriented business.
The new name will be accompanied by a revision of the corporate identity and a new design of the KOP homepage. According to these changes the names of the three business divisions will be KOP Care, KOP Create and KOP Consult.
The launch of the new CI and the revised homepage are expected to start in May of 2010.

Exhibition Bau 2009: pilot certification ZVE
Managing director Steffen Klingler is licensed auditor for office buildings by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). KOP is member of the DGNB and also involved in the development of criteria and standards for the sector of industrial buildings. In future KOP in addition will be involved in training auditors.
On 13th of January 2009 the projected ‘Center for Virtual Engineering’ of the Fraunhofer IAO has received the pre-certification in gold by the DGNB. The estimated completion of the building will be in 2010.

The KOP Cave Lounge formally opens
Mandatory for a successful company is the ability of the employees to be flexible and adapt fast to changing conditions of markets and processes. In such a dynamic working environment, real workplaces increasingly merge with virtual knowledge spaces.
At the end of November 2008, mayor and member of the regional parliament Christoph Palm, was able to experience this by himself in his function as chairman of the board of the Virtual Dimension Center (VDC) when participating at the grand opening of the 3-D visualization lounge at KOP.
Since 2006 KOP Real Estate Solutions is member of the VDC competence network. KOP is applying latest technology e.g. the technology of virtual reality with immersive stereo-projection like it is now being used in its own corporate 3-D visualization lounge.

Delegates Journey to central Asia with Federal Minister of Economics Mr. Glos (16-19.10.2007)
Between the 16th and 19th of October 2007, KOP managing director Mr. Klingler participated at a delegate’s journey to central Asia with Federal Minister of Economics Mr. Glos. On the 17th formal discussions with government officials of Kazakhstan, a conference of the government work group ‘trade and commerce’ and a symposium about energy policy took place in Astana.
On the 18th of October 2007 the German Club of Economy organized and invited to the German-Kazakh forum of economy in Almaty within the framework of the 9th annual day of the German Economy in Kazakhstan.
On the 19th of October the trip ended with a stopover in Baku where the Azerbaijanian development association for economy organized and invited to the German-Azerbaijanian forum of economy.

Expo Real 2007
In October of 2007 KOP presented itself at the Expo Real 2007 in Munich, on a shared exhibition stand together with the Region of Stuttgart.
The main focus was on the presentation of the Kreuzäcker project development for commercial use in Weinstadt which is supplied by renewable energy sources.

Festival of Lights
About five month after the 31.01.07, on the occasion of a special anniversary, a big BBQ was organized on the former Jacobi premises. About 150 invited guest joint the party and celebrated. Beautiful summer weather, great catering and entertainment from the band ‘The Beaster’ framed the festivity.

Weinbau zwischen Tradition und Moderne - Eröffnung vom „Weingut im Hof“ Armin Zimmerle in Großheppach
Die Neueröffnung des „Weingutes im Hof A. Zimmerle“ in Großheppach mit der Einweihung des repräsentativen Neubaus fand zwischen dem 12. und 14. August 2006 im Rahmen eines Hoffestes statt.
Mittelpunkt und architektonisches Highlight des Gebäudes stellt der Präsentationsraum mit seiner Sandsteinquaderwand und der bis zum Giebel verglasten Eingangsfront dar. Der geräumige Weinverkaufsraum mit offener Büroempore sowie Kelterhalle und Flaschenlager befinden sich auf einer Ebene des zweigeschossigen L-förmigen Gebäudes. Dadurch wurden optimale Bedingungen zur Verarbeitung und Präsentation des Weines geschaffen.
Die KOP-Architekten bedanken sich nochmals für die gute und fruchtbare Zusammenarbeit mit der Familie Zimmerle und wünschen weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Central Asia - competence and knowledge pays off
KOP was awarded at an invitation of an international tender by convincing the jury and the bank executive committee for the most innovative concept of a new high rise administrative building.
In the course of several months, the KOP engineers developed an integral building structure comprising an optimal addition and interaction of all business fields.

Visit of Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg on March 20, 2006
At the occasion of an event, the Prime Minister of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Guenther Oettinger, visited the former Jakobi-premises with its innovative companies KOP Real Estate Solutions and Bernd Kussmaul GmbH.
He informed himself about the fields of activity as well as current projects of both companies. Among the inspired guests were also the major of Weinstadt, Mr. Oswald, as well as the President of the regional Chamber of Commerce Mr. Paal.
About 150 guests appreciated particularly both companies for their philosophy and implementation of the cross-link between tradition and innovation.

The “guests wall” of the award party with all the signatures of the participants, co-workers and friends was auctioned for the purpose of charity and assigned to a private donor. The auction proceeds of 1.500 € was donated to the "Aktion Mensch e.V.".

In October we presented ourselves successfully on the Expo Real 2005 in Munich, the most important trade fair for commercial real estate. Highlights of the fair were the panel discussion "perspectives between Rems and Murr" at the joint booth of the Stuttgart Business Development as well as the speech of the Prime Minister Guenther Oettinger.

Preview Expo Real 2005
The Expo Real is taking place at Munich from 10th-12th October 2005. It again promises to be an interesting and fastidious platform for many investors, project developers and banks as well as economic regions and cities.

Review Award Party
More than 300 guests followed our invitation to celebrate with us - i.e. with the KOP Planergesellschaft as well as Bernd Kussmaul GmbH - on the premises of the "Destillerie 1880". Numerous VIPs of industry, trade, research, politics and organisations participated.
The reason for celebrating was our award for innovative solutions in regards of methodology and contents in the field of Engineering-Design. The recognition and use of existing potentials for unusual and innovative solutions had been awarded. Such an example for our daily business is the "Destillerie 1880" - former. JACOBI-premises in Weinstadt. Here topics like synergies of urbanity, free space, shared facilities in engineering and production are implemented on the same location.
This is why it is exactly the right place for celebrating!
So this evening the site demonstrated its glamorous ambiance which was supported by clubbing zone, live music, wines of the region and delicious Swabian food. In addition the unusual spatial relations of the buildings and the plant granted interesting and unusual views of the two enterprises’ business fields.
Apart from the guest speeches of Mayor Oswald, the former Prime Minister Professor Dr. Lothar Spaeth as well as Rezzo Schlauch, Member of Congress, which gathered under the slogan "fascination Germany - an innovation journey to the Rems Valley", many opinions were exchanged, new networks were born and/or reactivated.
It was a very successful evening and therefore we would like to thank you for your attendance and the large interests in our enterprises. For further come-togethers we would like to invite you again to visit again the entire site with its charm of a former industrial permises .

Award ceremony
November 2004
for the project "Destillerie 1880 - reorientation of former industrial permises into a service and business park" in Weinstadt.
The project was awarded at a state-wide competition by the Working Comittee of the Building and Loan Association together with the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg (Department for Economics and Social Affairs).
The price-winning contributions of the competition are characterised by the spatial proximity of dwellings and jobs. It exemplarily stands for current requirements of the city and municipal development. The “Destillerie 1880” as an successful example shows how future tasks can be conquered ,which is why our office that represents architects, engineers, industrial engineers and surveyors received a third price.
